Finland’s 100 Years of Independence celebrated at Agalma Restaurant

Agalma Restaurant was proud to host the centenary of Finland’s independence in 2017, the most significant commemorative year for this generation of Finns. The centenary emphasizes Finland’s strengths, such as equality and democracy by offering Finns and friends of Finland diverse and international centenary program in Finland and abroad. The centenary year provides opportunities to better understand the past, experience the jubilee together and set the course for Finland’s future success.

The ties between Greece and Finland were confirmed on Friday night with a very “warm” feast organized by the Finnish community of Rhodes, with the presence of the Finish Ambassador in Greece, Mr. Juha Pyykko.

It was a very beautiful evening organized by the organizing committee of the Finnish Community of Rhodes at Agalma Restaurant in the center of the new town of Rhodes, attended by ninety members of the Finnish Community of Rhodes! In addition to the ambassador honoring the event, there was also the Consul of Finland in Rhodes, Mr. Akis Dimitriadis.

The exclusive guests had the chance to taste a variation of the official menu of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, especially for that night, made by the talented Chef of Agalma Restaurant, George Savakis!
